I have always been a collector. The process of making mosaics fits that mold - from searching for, choosing and collecting the individual tesserae- to integrating the collection into a mosaic. Nature inspires me both in design and material. I am discovering ways to select unexpected combinations that creates new ideas, adhering to the parameters required by mosaics, yet stretching the bounds through which art is invited to emerge.
