Application Checklist

Please apply for membership online. If for some reason you cannot apply online, you may mail a paper application. The following instructions are for those using this method.

Provide us with five actual pieces in one medium,** each tagged with your name, description, title, medium, retail value and details of production legibly printed or typed. This work will be evaluated by the Standards Committee.

Enclose a copy of your professional resume, and an artist’s bio/statement describing tools, techniques, material acquisition and preparation, motivation or inspiration, basis of designs and exact production methods.

Include a $25
non-refundable Application Fee.

Include a recent photo of you working in your medium.
Incomplete applications and support documents will result in delay or exclusion from review. Mail the complete package to Louisiana Crafts Guild/Sans Souci Gallery, 219 E. Vermillion Street, Lafayette, LA, 70501. |

** Each medium must be accompanied by a separate application, resume, artist statement, and $25 Application Fee. Examples of work must be submitted for each medium. (wood, clay, glass, mixed media, fiber and metal.)
Absolutely no work from commercial kits
, which include but are not limited to: precut kits for glass panels, cast metal figurine kits, using commercial molds for pouring slip or using patterns that are not originated by the artisan.
