Artist's Statement: My grandmother has been teaching me everything I know about art since I was a little girl. When I made my first enameled piece of jewelry and it came out of the kiln, I remember thinking, "Wow, I made this piece of art and no one else can make one exactly like it and that makes it so special." Art is a form of self expression and a way to relax after having a hard day at school. Being the youngest member of the Louisiana Crafts Guild is an honor and knowing that I am one of the young artists to carry on what I know is a privilege.
