Artist's Statement: ARTIST STATEMENT:
For me, Folk Art is true freedom. It allows me to experiment - to let imagination work with inspiration and to let my heart guide me on the Path. I am a self-taught and still learning artist. I work in multiple mediums - using gourds to build whimsical sculptures, functional and decortive items. I've also developed a method of painting on window screen which I call "Cajun Stained Glass". Inspired by the Courier de Mardi Gras, these screen paintings have become quite popular. I obtained a trademark on Cajun Stained Glass in 2012.

As a long-time resident of South Louisiana, Carol is active in the rich art scene this part of the country affords. She also participates in many shows and festivals throughout the country, and her work is in collections throughout the world.
