Artist's Statement: I had worked for Ann O'Brien for 12 years and assisted her in handcrafting her jewelry in both sterling silver wire and 14K gold wire. Sadly, Ann passed away July 2006 from cancer.
Her husband John Preble and others asked if we could continue making the jewelry. Today, the Ann O'Brien Jewelry Studio continues to handcraft Ann's designs. We hand twist 10-20 gauge sterling silver wire or gold wire and then finish each piece by soldering,artistically hammering and then polishing the piece. The quality and craftmanship is maintained as Ann would have wanted.

Working in her jewelry studio in Abita Springs, Louisiana, Ann O'Brien became one of the industry's premier "studio" jewelry artists. For over thirty years her designs inspired numerous jewelers and collectors. Each piece of her jewelry collection is completely handcrafted in her studio. Throughout her career as a jewelry artist, Ann displayed her work at numerous exhibitions, galleries and museums nationwide. Her beautiful designs are often described as Art Nouveau with a 'twist'- the jewelry is twisted by hand, without the use of special jigs or molds.
