Artist Statement
Pottery is the way I express and acknowledge the Sovereignty of God on my life.
If God the Father were not the Master Potter I would have no spiritual gain through my craft and the forming of my pottery would be just another job.
I was born in Pontiac, Michigan. I graduated from Waterford Township High School and The University of Michigan School of Nursing. My husband and I have recently restored and live in a circa 1900 farmhouse in the red clay hills and piney woods of north Louisiana.
I am a self taught functional potter who has been blessed to have Cracked Pot Friends who encourage me. I am a Master Craftsman in the Louisiana Crafts Guild. I make functional wheel thrown and hand built stoneware pottery.
