My love of dyeing fabrics started in 1983 and have continued to grow over the years. My techniques of shibori / arashi are a mix of traditional and contemporary methods for dyeing fabrics. My selection of dye colors are usually a combination of dyes that I blend to get the shade pr tone. I am most relaxed when dyeing silk ( and other fibers ) while listening to either the sounds of nature or my favorite musician. My Jimmy Hendrix phase is over.. Might revisit again. I love custom orders for Mothers of the Bride/Groom, Special occasion, and shawls or scarves for wedding attendants. I have designed a wedding outfits for those renewing vowels are second marriage not wanting a traditional outfit. My partner in custom garments, Carolyn Marino, adds the fabulous finished french seams to garments and gives each garment that one of a kind distinction. Our last show at the Vault in the Acadiana Center for the Arts represented our true bond – Intertwined….
