Curt Fleck

Artist Statement

Curt Fleck was born and raised at the mouth of the Mississippi River in
Minnesota until he fled those frozen tundras for New York City in the
early 80′s to successfully pursue a life of music and art. He migrated to
Miami’s South Beach in the mid 90′s for sun and fun where he began
bartending and collecting bottle caps and other found objects for the
mosaics that he intended to make. The bar has long been closed but Curt
has continued with his work and has been a New Orleans resident for the
past 6 years. His work is shown at galleries and festivals in and around
Louisiana and the French Quarter. Including but not limited to: Gallery
713, Greg’s Antiques, Le Jardin Gallery, Frenchmen Street Art Market,
French Market, Bayou Boogaloo, Gretna Fest, and The Festival Acadiens.
