Mixed Media / Alexandria, LA
“I love juxtaposition of elements, color theory, and the “happy accidents” that occur during the creative process. I rarely go into the studio with a preconceived idea of the imagery I will create. Natural forms, organic shapes, and circles are recurring elements in my work. Creating art in many forms is the sustaining core of my life.”
Born in Monroe, LA in 1956 and grew up in Alexandria where he still resides. His interest in painting and drawing began at an early age and he was encouraged by his family and teachers. His early works were traditional and representational in oils and acrylics. It was while attending LA Tech in Ruston that he never looked back. He began exploring watercolor and mixed media and continue in those forms to this day.
