I create handmade porcelain jewelry. I try to give each piece has its own personality. I work primary with earring, but I plan on venturing out into necklaces and rings. With each piece I like to play with odd color combinations, strange shapes, and textures. Recently, I have been experimenting with marbling as an underglaze. I am constantly learning with old and new techniques to make funky, playful pieces of jewelry

I am Sara DuVernay I am a third year art teacher at St. Thomas More Catholic High School. I have been a maker for as long as I can remember. However I did not begin to refine those skills until attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where I received a bachelors degree in Art education with a concentration in painting. After the first 2 years of teaching I began working in clay and fell in love with the media. Then, I started selling my jewelry at Art Walk with both Art and Fleas and the Wurst Beer Garden. I have also shown both paintings and jewelry with the Fine Art Co-Op and Artmosphere. This year I am vending at Festival International and I am hoping to sell at Festival Acadian as well.
