Kiki Huston

Metal / New Orleans, LA

All of my work is fabricated with sterling silver, using traditional techniques - sawing, hammering, soldering & engraving. I use various applications of vitreous enamel to add color & images, including painting, drawing & etching. My work is heavily influenced by the flora and rich culture of South Louisiana.

I have been making a living as a jewelry artist for 15 years. I am primarily self taught, and use traditional smithing techniques to create my pieces. I strive to continually expand, and improve my skills. I draw my inspiration from the the trees in my back yard, down to the iron work in the French Quarter, forever picking up bits and bobs along the way that may someday be translated to wearable art.
